Smith takes National and North American titles in back-to-back 2.4 regattas  Voir ?

While most of the U.S.A. was getting smacked by an early taste of wintry weather and unseasonably cold temperatures, the conditions were more than ideal for sailors in the 2.4 Meter class as they kicked off the 2019 CanAm Championship Series at Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club (CHYC) in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Obituary: Yumiko Shige (JPN)  Voir ?

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yumiko Shige (JPN), 1996 Olympic silver medallist. Yumiko fought a strong battle with cancer for several years and very sadly succumbed at hospital in Karatsu City early in the morning on Sunday 9 December 2019, aged 53 years.

Scheidt/Boening demolish opposition on final day of Star Sailors League qualifying  Voir ?

While the star performers on Friday certainly were Robert Scheidt/Henry Boening and Paul Cayard, significant to more competitors was what was happening mid-fleet. For today, Friday, the final Qualifier races were held at the Star Sailors League Finals in Nassau.

Racing at this sixth edition of the Star Sailors League Finals got off to a dramatic first day of competition in Nassau, with four races held, four different winners and a last race in which a squall brought driving rain and 25 knot gusts that claimed one rig and caused one man overboard.
